Deb was a college roommate during her sophomore/junior years at UCLA--she the young grasshopper and I the "older/wiser" graduate student...Ha! Little did I know then all that I would learn from her. Her energy and enthusiasm, her beliefs and loves--all were insurmountable; pity the person who stood in her way. It's hard to believe her bright light has been extinguished. I will cherish my memories from those formative years and carry forth her spirit to do the right thing.

No one who ever met Deb even once ever forgot her. The "LA WMN" license plate, the hair (back in the day), and most of all the sparkling personality. Deb lived her life fearlessly.
