Obituary for Carol Rainer (Bell)

Carol (Bell) Rainer, 80 of Swampscott, a founder and organizer of the Northeast Arc, entered eternal rest on Saturday evening November 5, 2016.
Born in Everett, Mrs. Rainer has resided in Swampscott for the past 55 years. She was educated at Brandeis University and received a teaching degree from Boston University. She was devoted homemaker to her family and was very proud of her volunteer work with Northeast Arc as a founding family.
She was the loving wife of Ronald Rainer; beloved mother of Lisa Rainer, Robert & Noelle Rainer, and Julie & James Cummings; cherished grandmother of Jacob, Sara, & Brendan Rainer and Lily Cummings; dear sister of the late Alan Bell and Nancy Boudreau; and adored aunt of Frank & Julie Boudreau and Diane Calos & David Boudreau.
Services & interment are private. Condolence calls may be made at her late residence on Tuesday from 3-7 PM and Wednesday from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be donated to Northeast Arc 1 Southside Road Danvers, MA 01923.
