Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rita Freedman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Rita M. Freedman (Seeche)

Rita M. (Seeche) Freedman 92, of Revere formerly of Lawrence, Methuen and Gilford, NH passed away peacefully in her sleep from natural causes on Monday December 26.
Mrs. Freedman was raised in Lawrence graduating Lawrence High in 1942 and Stoneleigh College in Rye, NH in 1944. A homemaker most of her life, she worked a brief time at Margate Resort in Laconia, NH. She was an active member of Hadassah, Sisterhood of Temple Emanuel Andover, Civic Club of Lawrence, and a founding member of the Rat Patrol Snowmobiling Club of Methuen.
Mrs. Freedman was an award winning artist of oil paintings and frame making and an accomplished pianist. An enthusiastic athlete, she played golf, tennis, roller and ice skating, she also enjoyed snowmobiling and motorcycle riding.
Rita was the wife of the late Dr. Sanford T. Freedman and mother of Jeffrey Freedman, Randy Freedman and Marce Weissman; sister of A. Leonard Seeche and the late Sherman Seeche. Mrs., Freedman is also the grandmother of Shawn & Sara Weissman, Michelle Weissman, Sandy Freedman and great grandmother of Mikalah and Logan Weissman.
Services will be held at Temple Emanuel 7 Haggetts Pond Road (off Route 133) Andover on Friday December 30 at 1:00 PM. Interment will will follow at Temple Emanuel Cemetery, Lawrence. Condolence calls may be made following the interment at Fairfield Inn 1695 Andover St. (Route 133) Tewksbury. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Perkins School for the Blind 175 North Beacon St. Watertown, MA. 02472.
