Condolence: Today, June 1, 2020, I learned that Rabbi Landman passed into life eternal. I knew him well; we served together in the Air Force in Europe during the 60's. Ironically, when I returned stateside, I became very active in Temple Tifereth Israel in Malden and assumed Chaplain responsiblities at both the Chelsea and Holyoke Soldiers' Homes. Today, I serve as California Jewish War Veterans State Chaplain and President of the Los Angeles National Cemetery Support Foundation. I would have been proud to serve anywhere and at any time with United States Air Force Chaplain Nathan Landman. Rabbi Landman demonstrated the best in military chaplaincy: and as a colleague, was greatly respected for his learning and compassion. May his memory be for a blessing.
