Obituary for Lillian Bivetsky (Bivetsky)

Lillian Bivetsky, born November 20, 1920, died peacefully on February 2, 2017 at Merrimack Valley Hospice House, Haverhill, MA.

Lillian, a life long resident of Lawrence, was a proud and faithful member of the Congregation of Ansha Shulin, Lawrence, MA She was a humble volunteer at Lawrence General Hospital for over 35 years. She touched many lives in many ways, including her donating hundreds of her knitted articles to various charities.

She was the daughter of the late Jack and Annie (Pinsky) Bivetsky and was also predeceased by her brother Sam Bivetsky of Lawrence, MA and sister Helen Derouin of Phoenix, AZ.

Lillian worked at the Office of Personnel Management-Boston, as a bookkeeper, taking the train into the City. A graduate of Lawrence High School, she also attended Business School evenings.

Lillian lived a simple life. Though small in stature, to her Inner Circle friends, her many kindnesses and loving warmth made her larger than life.

She is survived by her beloved nephew Norman Derouin of Arizona, her grand-niece Leyna Derouin Loechner and her great-grand nephew Clark Loechner both of St. Charles, Missouri

Services at the Children of Abraham Cemetery 260 Beacon Street, Lawrence on Monday February 6 at 12 Noon. Following the interment all are invited to Congregation Ansha Shulim 411 Hampshire Street, Lawrence.
