Obituary for David Lincoln Epstein

EPSTEIN, David Lincoln,
of Malden, Entered Eternal Rest September 21, 2017. He was 85 years old. David was born on January 28, 1932 in Malden and was the son of the late Harry and Rae Epstein, sister to Judith J. Marcus, Uncle to Joel, Andy, and Peter & Lynne Marcus. Granduncle of Jamie, Scott & Ryan Marcus. David lived life on his own terms. His dry sense of humor, strong opinions, and eclectic points of view, were but a few of the traits which made for very interesting conversations with him. In his early years, he was a professional musician blessed with flying fingers which would dance across the ivory keys of a piano. He also enjoyed reading and studying books from his library of which he considered his friends. In the late hours of night and into the early hours of any given morning he could be heard expressing his opinions and knowledge over a wide range of topics across the airways on talk show radio in the Boston area. He also had a great passion for the home town sports teams; Bruins, Patriots, Red Sox, and Celtics. Services at the Lebanon Tifereth Israel Cemetery Route 128 North (between exits 25 & 24), Peabody on Tuesday October 3 at 11:00 AM. Memorial week will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated in his name to Temple Emunah, 9 Piper Road, Lexington, MA 02421.
