Condolence: I just heard Ed died. I have no words. Ed was a friend, a mentor and my professor of Accounting at BU. Although I never let on I didn't really enjoy his jokes, I laughed anyways and loved the man. He made accounting make sense to me and was really good at teaching. He was such a mentor to me helping me get my business off the ground 25 years ago. There is so much to pay attention to in accounting and he was invaluable to me both in guidance in financial decisions for the new venture and in helping with accounting. When he knew my company was too big for him to work with anymore he found me an excellent accountant I am still working with. We are still in business and so much of what he taught me has guided me when other businesses couldn't make it.

He became a friend through the years and even though I had to go with different accounting help because of the size and volume of my business activities, we always kept in touch. I missed him when he was in Boston and he left me a note telling me he was proud of his old student from BU and I've come a long way. I still have that note - it is even more valuable to me now. I called him afterwards and we talked for awhile. I also called him I think at the end of summer. He had mentioned he was be treating for something that could be cancer. I feel bad I didn't check in on him again.

I am stunned and so saddened that I will never hear from my friend again in this life. He meant a lot to me and this one leaves a mark - a hole in my heart

Wherever you are Ed - know you were loved and appreciated by so many - including me.

Till we meet again -, the amazing Mr. Ed - God bless you my friend.
