Obituary for Gerald "Jerry" Wolper

Gerald “Jerry” Wolper 81, of Beverly entered eternal rest on January 11, 2018.
Jerry was raised in Chelsea & Brookline and was a retired attorney. He also served on the National Labor Board for 35 years, was a substitute teacher in the Beverly school system for 20 years, a life time board member of Camp Bauercrest, and a member of the Beverly Senior Center. He was most involved at Temple Bnai Abraham in Beverly, where he was the past secretary of both the Congregation and Brotherhood. Also, their Bingo, Family Promise, Monday night suppers, and as a chief cook for all their event, well known for his potatoes.
He was the devoted husband of Susan (Lieberman); beloved father of Allison Wolper and William Wolper; adored grandfather of Benjamin & Jonah Wolper; dear brother of Helene & Martin Kress; friend of Laurie Lieberman & brother in law of Diane Lieberman; also survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews.
Services at Temple Bnai Abraham 200 East Lothrop Street, Beverly on Monday January 15 at 1:00 PM. Interment at Sons of Abraham Cemetery, Beverly. Condolence calls may be made at his late residence following the interment until 8PM, Tuesday, and Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8PM, with a Minyan each evening at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Temple Bnai Abraham.
