Obituary for Barbara Ruth Malinsky (Cherkas)

Malinsky, Barbara R. (Cherkas) 81, of Chestnut Hill, formerly of Medford. Entered Eternal Rest February 10, 2018 in her home with her family by her side. Loving wife of the late Harold Malinsky. Beloved mother of Bryan & Milana Malinsky and Lauren & David Lindheimer. Cherished grandmother of Danielle, Samantha, Mia and Sophie. Devoted daughter of the late Mary & David Cherkas and dedicated sister of the late Harold & Paul Cherkas. Barbara was a graduate of Boston University and worked as a teacher at Medford High School and as an administrator at ZBR Publications. Barbara was an excellent cook, loved to knit, and cared deeply for animals. Barbara led her life with style and she will always be remembered that way. Services at the Goldman Funeral Chapel 174 Ferry Street, (off Route 60), MALDEN on February 11 at 1:00PM. Interment in Peabody. Condolence calls may be made at her late residence, at The Tower at Chestnut Hill, following the interment until 7PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to M.S.P.C.A/Angell at www.mspca.org or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
