Obituary for Ida Quitt (Sokolov)

Ida (Sokolov) Quitt, 97, of Framingham died on February 6 at Whittier Rehabilitation center after a brief Illness.
Born in Russia, she was raised in Revere. She moved to Framingham with her late husband Harry Quitt in 1947. She was Harry’s personal bookkeeper in his many businesses, including a grocery and used furniture store. She had been a longtime member of O.R.T. and a volunteer at the Callahan Senior Center in Framingham. For the past 20 years, her penchant for good music accorded her the ability to be an avid and regular attendee to the Friday afternoon concerts of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
Mrs. Quitt is survived by her son Martin & his wife Deborah Quitt and a daughter Elaine Quitt; her grandchildren Michael Glazer, Adam& his wife Tara Quitt and Alisha Quitt. She is survived by her 3 great grandchildren, Nora Andrea and Raina Quitt.
