My first job at the Chelmsford Senior Center was working in the Adult Supportive Day Program - this is where I met one of the most dynamic and charismatic men I've ever known at the center. He was the true embodiment of the word, "gentleman." I would try to talk to him about his life and his time in the military but he always seemed to swing the conversation back to what was going on in my life and he really took a genuine interest in what I said, a very rare quality these days. During many of these conversations, he would offer me very wise and sound advice based on his life experiences. He was so patient and kind and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. I will truly miss him and remember him fondly. April Hunt

I knew Al from the Chelmsford Senior Center...what a sweet and kind gentleman! We loved hearing him laugh and sing, he had a great voice! Always asking after our family members, and talking about his time working as a supervisor. He would call me "Jefe grande" the big boss. I am sad to hear that he has passed, and we here will miss him so much!
