Obituary for Alma Venditti (Brustin)
Alma Barbara (Brustin) Venditti passed away at the age of 82 on Thursday January 4th 2024. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Spiegel) Brustin of Malden. She was sister to the late Elaine Bowers and the late, Deena Gonick. Born in Everett MA and raised in Malden MA, where she graduated from Malden High in 1959.
She met and married twice, first to the late David Rowinsky and had 2 children and settled in Malden, then to the late, John Venditti, who had children from a previous marriage, and settled in Burlington MA.
Throughout her life she was homemaker and when opportunity allowed, held several jobs. One of which was Itek in the mid 1970’s. She also worked at Marriott in Cambridge Ma in an administrative role for many years. Another, later in life, was as a civilian police dispatcher for the Town of Burlington.
She loved social conversation with family, neighbors, and friends. She was especially close with her sister Deena throughout their lives. She loved to travel and in fact traveled all over the world.
She is survived by her two sons Gerry and Steve Rowinsky, and their spouses Lynn, Florence, and her stepdaughter Lisa Venditti.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph, Jake and David Rowinsky, Andrew Kennedy, and Jordan Boss, and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Services at the Goldman Funeral Chapel 174 Ferry Street, (off Route 60), Malden on Tuesday January 9 at 11:00 AM. Interment is private.
