Obituary for Barbara Levinson
Barbara Levinson, 73, of Albany, NY, Entered Eternal Rest on December 15, 2022. She was the beloved sister of Mark Levinson and his partner, Anita Goldberg of Medford, MA, and aunt of Jacob Levinson and Matthew Levinson.
She grew up in New Rochelle, NY. After receiving a B.A. in Fine Arts at the University of California, Berkeley, she lived in New York City, Santa Fe, NM, and Jerusalem, Israel, where she taught art at the college level. She later obtained a Master’s degree in Counseling at San Francisco State University, and settled in Albany, NY.
A graveside service and interment will be held at Sharon Memorial Park 40 Dedham Street, Sharon, MA on December 28 at 10:45 AM. Following the interment, her family will have a private gathering to celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jewish Family Services of Albany, NY.
