Hi David and Sharon,

Here are some thoughts from some of Elise's MHS classmates who are on my Facebook. ....

I AM SO SADDENED to hear the news that Elise Cores, 1969 alumni of Malden High School died this morning after battling cancer. Elise just celebrated her 68th birthday yesterday April 14th. Elise was a dear friend to me especially at Lincoln Jr High through High School and beyond. She was a gentle and sweet soul. Her mother who she was extremely close to just passed away in early January. Edith Aronson another one of our wonderful 1969 classmates was able to visit Elise multiple times during her battle and Edith saw Elise just yesterday. She was also so very close to her brother David, his wife Sharon and their children. Peaceful journey Elise...the pain is over...

Pam DeGroot So sad to hear, much to young.

Sal Morando Elise was in my 6th grade class at Daniels when Faulkner School burnt down...a real nice girl right through high school

Paul Abare I also remember Elise from junior high. So sad! Thoughts and prayers are with her family

Rosemary Ginivan Attridge Oh so sad to hear about Elise :(

Arthur Robbins So sad! Nicest person!

This is so sad for me. My memories continue to go back to Chelsea, Bellingham St. when she was a little girl living upstairs. So pretty, so cute with her Pageboy haircut. David was born and she loved taking care of her little brother. How ironic in the end it was here little brother who took care of her, and with such love. David and Sharon were amazing in how they cared for and comforted Elise in her last few years. Elise was always smiling, always happy, always glad to see you. I know Elise was a wonderful woman, I knew that of side her, but I will always remember her as a little girl. The saddest thing in the world is when a little girl dies. I am so sad today.
