Eulogy

Eric was a very caring, loving, sensitive individual. His family was everything to him. He especially adored his four nephews, Joshua, David, Joseph, and Benjamin. He looked up to his three older siblings, and took every opportunity to join one or all of them for dinner. He identified very strongly with his Jewish faith and enjoyed the traditional family celebrations.

Eric was very hard-working; his expertise was in automotive maintenence and anything mechanical. He was passionate about cars. He worked on his antique Plymouth Roadrunner for over 40 years. He was restoring it up until the day of his passing. As he always liked to say, in his Boston accent, "I'm a cah guy". For his local family, he was the 'go-to-guy'. He often used his amazing skills generously to help around the house or with strange car noises.

For leisure, Eric was always traveling, taking as many as 4 trips a year. He mostly enjoyed warm locations and visiting the beaches, especially in Southern France. When he wasn't moving about, he relaxed at home, managing his investment portfolio himself, in which he was very sucessful. He also was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, watching all of the games from home, as well as attending the live events at Fenway Park with his nephew Josh, who called him Uncle Ricky because as a child, he couldn't pronounce Eric.

There will be a big hole in future family gatherings, and Thanksgiving and Passover will never be the same.

He didn’t like to say goodbye, but rather used his signature parting:
