87, of Malden. Entered Eternal Rest October 21, 2021. Devoted wife of the late Jack Leff. Beloved mother of Mark & his wife Karen Leff and Hirsh & his wife Vickie Leff. Cherished grandmother of Jack, Kate, David and Daniel Leff. Dear sister of Marlene Josowitz, Irwin Weitz and the late Frank Weitz. She wasa beloved aunt of her nieces and nephews. Esther was a long-term employee of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the "Contributions" Department of the Division of Employment Security. She received Gubernatorial recognition for her excellent service. She retired in 2002. She was a proud resident of the Malden Housing Authority elderly apartments at 89 Pearl Street and truly appreciated the many friendships that came as a result. She would want to recognize Malden Housing Authority and Mystic Valley Elder Services for the quality of her life in her senior years. She was also appreciative of the medical care she received from her physicians, especially Dr. Steven Paskal. She was a long-time member of Temple Tifereth Israel in Malden and later Temple Tiferet Shalom in Peabody. Esther was as nice a person as you are likely to encounter.
