Helen (Halpern) Needle of Peabody, formerly of Lawrence, Entered Eternal Rest on May 24, 2022.
Helen was born in Boston, daughter of the late Joseph & Sarah Halpern. She graduated from Haverhill High School and later received a degree from Fisher College. She was a member of Temple Emanuel of Andover, social secretary for many years of the Sisterhood at Congregation Tifereth Anshai Sfard, and life member of Hadassah.
Helen was the devoted of wife of the late Maurice Needle; beloved mother of Leonard & Raquel Needle, Benita "Bunni" & Myron Flagler, and Marsha & Marc Nissenbaum; adored grandmother of David, Matthew, Sarah, Jessica, Rebecca, Sandi, Jonathan, and Alan; cherished great grandmother of David, Layla, Benjamin, and Theodore; and dear sister of Barbara Brown.
Services will be at the Temple Emanuel Cemetery 202 Mount Vernon Street, Lawrence on Friday May 27 at 12 Noon. Condolence calls may be made at the home of Marsha & Marc Nissenbaum following the interment Friday until 6PM, Saturday evening 6:30-9PM, and Sunday 2-5PM & 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
