Obituary for Henry Saganov
Henry Saganov, 97, of Malden, Entered Eternal Rest on October 27, 2022, at the Brockton VA Hospital Hospice Unit.
Henry was born and raised in Malden, son of the late Anna & Philip Saganov. He served honorably in the Army during World War II throughout Europe where one of his duties was sensitively recovering fallen soldiers in the battle field. He later had a long career as postal carrier.
He was the devoted husband of the late Ethel (Mendelson) Saganov; beloved father of William Saganov and the late Alan Saganov; loving brother of Melvin Saganov, Irene Engber, and the late Harvey Saganov; He was faithful companion to Helen Pellecchia for close to 40 years, dear friend of Regina and Kelly Pellecchia and their family’s, and known to their children as “Papa Henry;” and adored uncle of many nieces and nephews.
His sense of humor and amazing story telling endeared him to everyone and he made instant connections with people.
Services at Sharon Memorial Park 40 Dedham Street, Sharon on Sunday October 30 at 1:45 PM. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to either The Fitch Home in Melrose Mass or the Brockton VA Hospital Hospice Unit.
