Jane Franklin passed away on September 9, 2022 at the age of 68 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones. Jane was born and raised in Malden before settling in Bedford to raise her son, Joshua. She was a dedicated teacher, loving mother, and loyal friend. She loved trying new foods and recipes, volunteering with the Bedford Cultural Council, traveling around the world, and spending time with her friends and family. She was overjoyed to meet her first granddaughter who was born in August 2022.

Jane is survived by her mother, Dorothy Franklin, of Malden, her brother, Ron Franklin, of Tiverton, RI, her son and his wife, Joshua and Julina Franklin, of Billerica, her granddaughter, Maeve Franklin, her niece and her husband, Meghan and Angelo Panagiotopoulos, of Wareham, and their children, Teddy and Nico Panagiotopoulos, her nephew, Jason Franklin, of West Warwick, RI, as well as her supportive extended family of many cousins, aunts, nieces, and nephews.

A private gathering to celebrate Jane’s life will be held by her family. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made online to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of Jane Franklin to support Dr. McGregor's Research Fund at:
