Age 87, of Peabody, formerly of Everett, Entered Eternal Rest on December 5, 2023. A jokester at heart, Joel Chiet was a well-known insurance agent from Everett, MA. His quirky and unique sense of humor made him an endearing character people enjoyed. With an insurance career spanning many years at John Hancock, Joel eventually co-founded CC&H Insurance, a boutique agency on Broadway in Everett.
A man of simple pleasures and a HAM Radio enthusiast Joel found joy in spending time with his family, fishing, savoring “Lobstah” and searching for his next new car. His love for cars and boats was unmatched! He was the go-to person for anyone in the family seeking car advice.
He remains an enduring source of inspiration and joy in the hearts of those who knew him.
Devoted husband of the late Rosalyn (Bermack) Chiet. Beloved father of Alan Chiet & Allan Poulin and Adam Chiet & Reginald Macon. Adored grandfather of Kristen & Denzel Marshall, Katelynn & Matthew Kresse, and Allison & Joseph Riley-Ryan. Cherished great grandfather of Bond, Harlow, Josephine, William, Mila, and Elijah. Dear brother of Marilyn Sachs and Rochelle Goldberg. Services at the Goldman Funeral Chapel 174 Ferry Street (off Route 60), Malden on Friday December 8 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Everett.
