Obituary for Louise Spiezle (Kody)

Louise Spiezle passed away on May 29, 2022, at the age of 91 in Peabody Mass. Born in Trenton NJ in 1930, to Morris and Edyth Kodiwiz, changed to Kody in 1946. Louise attended Trenton High School and Ryder College before meeting Franklyn Spiezle and getting married in 1950. She was a devoted wife for 64 years, before his passing in 2014. Louise was recognized for her culinary talents, frequently hosting parties at her home in Yardley Pennsylvania which she and my father proudly built overlooking the Delaware Canel. They later moved to Washingtons Crossing, PA and to Peabody Mass in 2010. In her early years she served as the office manager of the Spiezle Architectural Group in Trenton NJ, while balancing roles as a homemaker. Louise was active in the Sisterhood at Har Sinai Temple, a member of Green Acres in Trenton NJ and a member of the Presidents Club in West Palm Beach. She became a world traveler, always planning her next trip while on a current one. She enjoyed her passions of needlepoint, knitting and sewing. While never full embracing the personal computer, she loved creating personalized greeting cards and writing poems.

Louise is survived by her three children Scott Spiezle & his wife Susan Goldy of Bonita Springs FL, Patti Bloom of Marblehead Mass, and Craig & his wife H. Elizabeth Spiezle of Bellevue WA and her sister Susan Hope Kody of Trenton NJ. She will be remembered by her five grandchildren Jaclyn, Rebecca, Jacob, Jessica, and Joshua and her 5 great grandchildren Aubrey, Jacob, Jordan, Olivia and Quinn. Services are private. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or a charity of your choice.
