ROSENGARD, Mark
76, of Chelmsford. Entered Eternal Rest May 21, 2022 at Lowell General Hospital. Mark was born and raised in Lowell, son of the late Samuel & Ruth Rosengard. He was a graduate of Lowell High School and then attended Burdett College and Nichols College. Mark was the retired Treasurer for the City of Lowell. He was very active as Financial Secretary for Montefiore Synagogue in Lowell and dedicated many years as chairman of the Montefiore Cemetery in Pelham, N.H. He was a member of Chabad Center of Acton, Temple Emunah, Lexington and Cong Beth Israel of Andover. He was a true extrovert and loved being with people. Mark was the “go-to guy” when families needed assistance planning a funeral or visiting the cemetery. He was the kind voice on the phone, who could help a family navigate the burial requirements at a family’s most difficult time. Mark’s problem solving and helpful nature carried over throughout his personal life. He was a beacon to family and friends, offering assistance and kindness to all. He preferred conducting business face to face and was not a fan of “that on-line stuff.” He was the devoted husband of the late Gail (Schwartz) Rosengard; beloved brother of Dana Frankel and beloved uncle to her daughter Sandra & her husband Shmuel Bloch and their children, Avrahom Nechemia, Yehoshua Reuven, Hadassah Rina and Moshe Aharon; cherished brother-in-law of Pamela & her husband Ronald Bruckman and cherished uncle to Nancy Bruckman, and Molly Bruckman . Graveside services will be held on Tuesday May 24 at 12 Noon in the Children of Abraham Cemetery 260 Beacon St. Lawrence. Shiva will be observed at the home of Dana Frankel Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 1-5PM and 7-9PM.
