I'm so sorry to hear this. Such a dynamic and loving light - now gone. Please, my condolences to the family whom Risa talked about often, oh yes, Risa told stories, and always with humor and love. Risa, you're already missed.

Dear Family of Risa,
Risa had been a client at the gallery where I used to work. She loved the arts and always supported us when she had gifts to buy. She also had her bridal registry listed with us when she married Joe. They had so much fun picking their gifts!!! It was always a joy to see and talk with her..... she was a special person and friend. Prayers and blessings to all of you. May her spirit shine forever!
with love, Alinda

I was surprised to learn of my dear friend, Risa's passing. Risa and I taught together at Chelmsford High School. We have lost touch over the last few years since I retired and moved to Cape Cod. I wasn't even aware that Risa had become ill We sometimes would walk together after school, and on the bike trail in Arlington. I loved Risa's beautiful smile. On the day my Dad died in Arlington, I called Risa and she met me on the biketrail and listened to my tale of woe and picked up my spirits. She was a lovely woman. She loved people and I feel fortunate that she and I crossed paths. I would like to know when a memorial service for her is scheduled assuming that it is open to friends. For that reason, I am including my e-mail:

Risa was a beautiful person, inside and out. Her bright smile and enthusiasm for life was contagious. She worked in the Learning Center at Arlington High School, a "retirement" job. She often raved about how much she loved working with the students, helping them with college essays, among other things. And she quietly went above and beyond for students who were struggling with life's challenges. I will forever remember her kindness, love, and passion for life. She will be missed by many
