Sheila Ruth (Klainer) Herbeck
Sheila Ruth Klainer was born: October 28, 1940. Peacefully passed away June 30, 2023.
In 1985, Sheila founded the nonprofit Community Service Network at her kitchen table. 38 years later CSN has provided housing and other critical services to countless families across the Commonwealth. During her stewardship, CSN piloted several programs that modeled successful programs across the Commonwealth and in some cases across the nation.
Sheila is survived by her siblings; Dr Paul Klainer and his wife Jeanne of Owl’s Head, ME, Amy Klainer of Rockland, ME, her adult children; Scott Lakin and his wife Elyse of Woburn, MA, Peter Lakin and his wife Erica of Reading, MA and Bryna Lakin-Davis and her husband Michael of Stoneham, MA and her grandchildren, who were the light of her life; Stefanie, Rebecca, Maxwell, Matthew and Myles.
Funeral Services will be held at the Goldman Funeral Chapel 174 Ferry Street (off Route 60) on Sunday July 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Woburn Hebrew Center Cemetery, Woburn.
Condolence calls may be made at the home of Peter & Erica Lakin on Sunday following the interment until 8PM and on Monday from 4-8PM.
