Obituary for Sybil Saloman (Goldschmidt)

SALOMAN- Sybil Janet (Goldschmidt)
Passed into eternal rest on Monday December 20 at age of 87. She was the daughter of Adolph and Florence Goldschmidt. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ronald and her 4 children, Lawrence (Larry) of Waltham, Cantor Wendy Siegel of Westboro, Peter and wife Stephanie of Wilmington, Andrea Young and husband Larry of Northboro; and her brother Mark of Clearwater, FL. Ferociously loved by her 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins. Raised in Winthrop, Sybil lived in Burlington, MA where she raised her family, in Marlboro and recently resided in Hudson, MA. Sybil was a proud graduate of Salem State University. A spirited lifetime volunteer, she served on numerous organization boards and as president of Temple Beth Shalom of Melrose; vice-president of the Northern New England Region of Hadassah; and co-founder of the Shawsheen Valley Chapter of Hadassah. For many years, Sybil was a Girl Scout leader and volunteer at the Eastern Regional Little League baseball annual tournament. An enthusiastic traveler in the USA and abroad, Sybil especially loved riverboat cruises with Ron, and always made new friends. However, life always revolved around her ever expanding circle of family and friends. Graveside service will be at Noon, Thursday December 23 at the Boston Chevra Kadushe Cemetery ā€œDā€ Street off 11 Washington St. Woburn. Visitation will be at Temple Emanuel 150 Berlin Road Marlborough Thursday 7-9PM, Friday from 10AM to 1PM and Sunday from 10 AM to 1PM.
