Obituary for Thelma Halberstadt (Levitt)
HALBERSTADT- Thelma (Levitt)
91,(and 28 at heart) formerly of Andover, passed away February 24, 2021. She was a devoted wife of her high school sweetheart the late Louis Halberstadt., and the beloved mother of Caren & her husband Arthur Hughes, Rendi & her husband Joseph Mann-Stadt and Minda & her husband Richard Reidy. She was a cherished Savta of Chailee, Jessica, Tracie, Michael, Maris and Matthew and their spouses and her six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her dear sister the late Roberta Brilliant. Thelma retired as a professor of nursing at NECC and spent her life both learning and helping others. She was a dedicated Red Sox fan. We were all blessed by being part of her legacy. Services will be held at Temple Emanuel 7 Haggetts Pond Road ANDOVER on Sunday February 27 at 10:00 AM. Condolence calls may be made Tuesday evening at the home of Minda& Richard Reidy on Tuesday from 6-9PM with a Minyan at 6:30PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Thelma’s name can be made to NECC Foundation Inc. 100 Elliott St. Haverhill MA 01830 or www.necc.mass.edu/giving. Please designate on the donation both Thelma Halberstadt and Nursing Program, to ensure it is applied accurately. ALL PERSONS ATTENDING THE SERVICES MUST WEAR MASKS.
