Life Story for Rose Melnick (Werlin)

MELNICK, Rose (Werlin) - of Tamarac, FL & formerly of Medford entered eternal rest August 14, 2014 peacefully at home with her children by her side. Born May 22, 1919 in Malden to Rebecca & Joseph Werlin. She was married to the love of her life, Al, for 60 years until his passing. Rose was the loving mother of Clare Dacosta, Lois Stillman and Linda Melnick; cherished grandmother of Eric & Stacy Handman, Kimberly & Lance Bressler, Todd and Ching-yi Stillman, Craig Stillman and Shawn Stillman; adored great grandmother of Jeffrey, Jeremy, Jordan and Austin; dear sister of Gloria Shear (David), late Pearl Bates (Louis) and late Charlotte Spector (Robert) and leaves many nieces and nephews. She worked for Lechmere Sales for many years until her retirement; was a lifelong member of Hadassah and Temple Shalom of Medford where she carried on the Jewish tradition. She will remain in our hearts forever and the memory of her will last a lifetime. Services at the Goldman Funeral Chapel, 174 Ferry St (off Rte 60), MALDEN on Tuesday, August 19 at 11:00 AM. Interment at Lebanon Tifereth Israel Cemetery, Peabody. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be donated to Temple Shalom, 475 Winthrop St, Medford, MA 02155.
