A Special Person

Dear Nancy,

I just wanted to say that I thought of you often and I am so sorry that you died alone.  I met you at your cousins house when I would come to walk her dog.  You called her Henny-Penny.  I remember you always had your hair done and your makeup on and I thought what a pretty lady you were.  You also had a very kind aura about you.  You were kind and caring.  I just wish that Icould have helped you through the toughest time of your life.  Everyone is sad in the end, but when you needed someone... well, I don't know what happened.  I didn't know you well enough I guess, but what I did know is that you were a very nice lady and I am sorry that I couldn't have been more of a friend, but I guess I just wasn't capable because of things going on in my own life.

I hope you are resting peacefully now Nancy.  You deserved so much more than what you had to suffer in the end, because you were a human being with feelings and needs.  Now I hope your spirit can live on in the hearts of those you loved.

Rest in peace Nancy.
