Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dorrit Gloss can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

92, of Boston formerly of Newton. Entered Eternal Rest on March 20, 2016. WW II Navy Veteran and Matriarch of the Brattle Book Shop. Devoted wife of the late George Gloss. Beloved mother of Ken Gloss & his wife Joyce Kosofsky and the late Karen Gloss & Louise Gloss. Cherished grandmother of Sonia Gloss and Emily Gloss & her husband Eric Walz. Dear sister of the late Carleton Lehr & his surviving wife Elizabeth Lehr. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Services will be private. Condolence calls may be made at the home of Ken Gloss & Joyce Kosofsky on Saturday and Sunday from 2-8PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory should be made to a socially responsible organization of one’s choice.
