Obituary for Dr. Max Lack

LACK, Dr. Max
97, of Lantana, FL. Formerly of Lynnfield and Everett. Entered Eternal Rest on November 12, 2012. Husband of the late Doris Abt, father of the late Jason Lack and son of the late Sarah and Samuel Lack. Brother of the late Joseph, Hyman, Benjamin and Harry Lack. He received his medical training at Kansas City University of Physicians and Surgeons and his hospital internship and residency in Brooklyn, New York. He practiced in Malden for over forty years and was appointed a regional State Medical Examiner. He was on the staff of Whidden Memorial Hospital and New England Memorial Hospital and gave his services at Bennett Dispensary Outpatient Department in Boston. He also received a Proctology Fellowship at St. Marks Hospital in London, England. He was past President of the Everett Medical Society and Bnai Brith Lodge in Medford, MA. A member of the Mass. Medical Society and the Mass. & American Academy of Family Practice, Master Mason and Shriner and life member of the Medical Society in Austria, Vienna. After moving permanently to Florida, Dr. Lack volunteered his services as a physician treating the needy in South Florida. For over two decades, he donated his services to such charitable clinics and organizations as Caridad Clinic in Boynton Beach, MediVan, and Catholic Charities in Palm Beach. In 1998 he was honored by JC Penney with an award for his outstanding volunteer work. He was also recognized by the Royale Women's Club in Boca Raton for his dedication and commitment to his patients and his community. He was a past President of the Palm Beach Elderly Fund. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Services at Tifereth Israel Memorial Park 232 Fuller St. Everett on Thursday November 15 at 11:00 AM.
