Dear Peter, family and friends of Fay -
I remember so well Fay in high school and also you Peter. A few years ago, I was very fortunate to have spoken to Fay
and to have caught up on her wonderful life with you Peter and her family after all of these years. I was very sad to hear the news today Peter - and I want you to know that I fondly remember Fay and you in high school. With my deepest condolences, I hope the wonderful memories of Fay and your life together will comfort you in the days to come. With sadness, may your rest in peace Fay knowing that you were well loved by those who knew you and remembered you.

Dear Peter, Family and Friends of Fay,
May you find peace from fond memories, and those that share their wonderful moments with Fay! Fay will be missed! In the short time that I knew Fay she was always such a positive spirit! Her very first words to me, with that sparkle in her eye, smile on her face, and arms in the air “Oh you’re that Melissa... I love that we have a birder from Wakefield in the community”, and without skipping a beat sharing important advice. The thought of that first time meeting Fay makes me chuckle till this day! She had a way about welcoming me into the birding community that was such a comfort. I have Fay to thank for sharing her thoughts on some important issues that made me look at birds and birding differently. Fay also included me in the Christmas Bird counts and Wakefield/Lynnfield happenings! It opened my eyes to the importance of citizen science! I enjoyed Fay’s personality, she had such spunk! If Fay knew you were on the Refuge birding, she’d text you what was hot, or what bird was flying in your direction! Fay always had quick advice and I always listened to her suggestions and words of wisdom in the field! Her advocacy for the bird world was tremendous! I’ll miss my Fay hugs! Peter we look forward to seeing you out in the field! It’s exactly where Fay would want you to be!

With deepest sympathy...

My condolences and prayers go out to Peter and family, and to all Fay's friends. I have such fond memories of Fay, who was so welcoming to me as a new birder, when I first met her. Always encouraging and helpful, she became a friend and someone I always enjoyed running into while out birding. I will miss her and her funny wit very much.

Sending condolences to Peter and their families and friends. I came to know Fay through north shore birding surveys and our shared passion for tracking common and rare birds in the area. She was deeply committed to birding, teaching birders, leading bird organizations, and much more. I often refer to her and Peter’s decades of bird documentation in the Wakefield/Lynnfield area. They are strong leaders for avian conservation. But most of all I came to appreciate Fay’s funny personality and comments as we coordinated on surveys and other matters. We will miss you Fay, I hope your spirit is flying high with the thousands of birds that you helped to protect over decades. Peter, I would be thrilled to join you on any birding outings where you may want company, or just grabbing a Starbucks. Hang in there. We are thinking of you.
